Technology for grandpa

My grandpa is actually still a pretty funky guy and is eager to stay connected with technology. It's very funny to see him taking selfies with me and my cousins. He finds it a bit hard to use the cutting edge smartphones as they have quite small type and buttons, so we have to get him some technology that suits his abilities. It's cool to be able to get texts from him and send him messages to let him know that we are thinking about him. This blog is all about finding accessible technology options for the elderly to keep them connected.

Here's Why You Should Consider Installing a Modern Business Phone System at Your Work Place

Individual phones are convenient, but perhaps they are not the best option for your office. The following benefits of installing a business phone system might make you reconsider using individual phones for your business functions.

Time Saving

With individual calls, whenever a person calls your phone and asks to speak to the boss, you most probably will have to physically move from your point to where your boss is. This might be one desk away, or five offices apart.

With a business phone system however, all you need is to ask the caller to hold before you direct them to the boss's line. And all you had to do was lift your finger twice. It saves you a lot of time which you can use to do more productive things.

Money saving

Paying for individual phone bills cannot be compared to paying for a phone system. Even if it is used by multiple individuals, the overall costs of a business phone system is much more affordable. Costs on repair and maintenance are also less.

Safer

With an individual phone, you have no option but to give out your personal number to your clients. Making your number public may not be so beneficial to your safety. This is one way people get bullied, harassed and sometimes even threatened.  Some phone systems have a call screening service in which you can block out unwanted numbers. This enhances your security and that of your employees.

Controlled Access

Say you have taken a two-week vacation from the never-ending stress of your job as a doctor. You just want to have a quiet time during this short period to relax and rejuvenate. But your phone has not stopped ringing since you left home. You consider switching it off, but you are afraid your family might get worried.

If you had a business phone system in your private clinic, you wouldn't have to worry about peacefully enjoying your holiday. Not only will the calls be directed to the office, but you will not have to switch off your phone. By so doing, you will be controlling just who can call you and when.

Although general individual phones have their benefits, such as enhanced privacy for individual employees, they are not the best for your office. When running a business, you should have a business phone system that can be interconnected and can aid in the smooth operations of the workplace.
